My roommate, Brandy, went to Chicago over the Thanksgiving break. She had a really great time there; although, it was really cold there. She loved the Field Museum.

Hua-lien is one of my favorite counties in Taiwan.
One of the most happiest things happened in summer was that I had a raod trip to Hua-lien with my close friends from middle school. We haven’t gone on a trip together since I moved to US. It was an unforgettable 3 day trip.

From Plitvička Jezera, Croatia
Last time when I went to Las Vegas with my friends, Angel told us that her dad will go on a trip to Plitvička Jezera, Croatia. I was soooo excited even though I had never heard of this place and didn’t know where it is. I asked her to ask her dad if he can bring some postcards back for me.. (I couldn’t dare to ask him to send it to me from there) When I received the postcards, I was like “WOW, it’s so pretty!!!” I hope I can go there one day.

From Kinmen, Taiwan. I have been there when I was in 9th grade.
A close friend of mine moved to Kinmen, where is a Taiwanese island, when we were in 9th grade. He finished middle school and high school in Kinmen. (In Taiwan, 7+8+9 grades = middle school, 10+11+12 grades = high school) Then, came back to Taipei for College, but I was already in US. He dropped off of school, joined military for 8 years, and served in Kinmen. Sometimes I went back to Taiwan in summers, I didn’t have much chances to see him. However, we still had lots of things to talk about, and sometimes he told me things that he had rarely told people. We are good friends.
Road trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, USA with friends in September, 2012
My friend, Zora, from Taiwan came to San Diego for an one-month English language program at UCSD. We didn’t take her to any amusement parks but Las Vegas as she requested. We didn’t have much time to plan our trip. All We did was to find a hotel to stay a few days before the trip. My roommate, Brandy, really wanted to go clubbing, but I have never gone clubbing, and I will never want to go. However, if she’s going, that means I need to go, too. Brandy is a very lightweight drinker, and Zora is not fluent in English, even though she doesn’t drink. What will happen if they go clubbing by themselves?
Memorable Things:
1. Instead of having an all-you-can-eat meal, we had brunch at Bouchon! I really enjoyed their food and service.
2. Took a picture with the Coke Cola polar bear 
3. Running crazy on the street on strip because we were almost late for the show, LOVE (Beatles) (Cirque du Soleil)!
4. I secretly managed to watch the show at 7pm, so Brandy wouldn’t be able to go clubbing. By the time we were done watching the show, buying peripheral products, and taking pictures, it was already over 12am and we were hungry. Brandy got us on the list, so if we went in before midnight, it would be free admission.
5. Drank the world tour Coke (16 flavors). Some of them were really gross…. so we had a game… Each round we do rock-paper-scissor. The winner chooses a flavor first, and second; then, third. The last one has supposedly worse taste.
